Jan 2014 - Present
I've been a licensed insurance broker since 2014. I started with Allwest Insurance and I'm currently employed by Waypoint Insurance.
Team Lead
Square One Insurance
2020-2021
I was promoted to a team lead in 2020 shortly after returning back to Canada from living in Ireland. I had worked for Square One previously and was recommended by the director of Sales to be the next Team Lead.
Key contributions:
- Created the new build training for all staff members
- managed a team of 6 people with varying degrees of experience.
- Provided on going coaching to my team members and other team members with Square One.
- Assisted with on-boarding training.
- Created courses for our yearly credits required by the industry to keep our licenses up to date.
Branch Manager
Waypoint Insurance
2021-2024
I worked as a branch manager and the manager of the mobile service team within the Comox Valley.
Key contributions:
- Kept the branch running smoothly for both the auto and personal lines team.
- Shadowed staff members and provided on going training to ensure employees were meeting expecations.
- Kept in contact with the local car dealerships where the insurance brokers on my team provided insurance.
